Your plans in the portal

A plan is a standing arrangement with your detailer — a wash every two weeks, a full detail every quarter — paid automatically from a card you keep on file with them. This article shows you how a plan reaches your portal, where it lives, and how to read what the portal tells you about it.

How a plan is set up

You do not sign up for a plan in the portal. Your detailer sets it up with you — in person, by phone or however you agreed — takes the card that will pay for it and collects the first payment. Once that is done, two things happen:

  • You receive a confirmation email with the plan’s name, what it costs and how often it is charged. Keep it: it is the record to look up when a recurring charge shows up on your statement.
  • The plan appears in your portal under My plans.

If the plan is set to start on a later date, it appears right away but reads Starting soon; the first payment is taken on the day it starts.

Where your plans are

  1. Sign in, then open the menu under your name at the top right of the page.
  2. Choose My plans.

If you have no plan with this business, the page says You have no plans with this business yet. Only plans that are running — or need your attention — are listed. A plan that has ended or was canceled leaves the list; the receipt emails you received along the way are your record of it.

What a plan’s card tells you

Each plan is a card with the plan’s name and its price, followed by how often you are charged — Weekly, Every two weeks, Monthly, Every three months or Yearly. Beside them is the plan’s status:

  • Starting soon — set up, with its start date still ahead.
  • Active — running: visits are scheduled and payments are being taken.
  • Paused — visits and payments are on hold until the plan is resumed. See Pause, resume or cancel a plan.
  • Payment needed — the last payment did not go through. See Update the card that pays your plan.

Below the status:

  • Next payment — the day your card is charged next.
  • Next visit — the next visit planned under the plan. When the visit is scheduled, it appears under My Bookings like any other appointment.
  • Either Paid with your card on file or No card is set to pay for this plan. — in the second case, a Manage cards button takes you to your saved cards.
  • What’s included — the services the plan covers on each visit.
  • Payment history — collapsed until you open it; every charge under the plan, with a link to each invoice. Both are covered in What your plan includes, and when you’re charged.

If a cancellation has been scheduled, a notice on the card says so: This plan stops on …. You keep your service until then.

At the bottom of the card are the actions the business lets you take yourself — Pause plan, Resume plan and Cancel plan. If you see none of them, the business handles those changes for you; get in touch with them.

Good to know

  • The price on the card is the plan’s price before any tax the business charges; the amount actually taken from your card, tax included, is in Payment history. The plan’s name is the one it had when it was set up — if the business changes your plan, they will tell you, and the card updates.
  • Dates are shown in your own time zone.
  • Your plans are visible only to you and your detailer.
