Unsubscribe from marketing emails

Besides the emails about your bookings and payments, a business can send you offers and news by email. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it takes one click. This article shows you where the link is, what the page after it says, and exactly what stops.

Unsubscribe

  1. Open any offer or news email from the business. Scroll to the footer: the business’s name and postal address, then the line You are receiving this because you are a customer of {business}.
  2. Choose Unsubscribe in that line.
  3. The portal opens on a page that says You’ve been unsubscribed, with the confirmation You will no longer receive marketing emails from this business. There is nothing else to do — the unsubscribe took effect before the page opened.

If you had already unsubscribed and open the link again, the same page shows again; nothing changes.

What stops, and what does not

  • What stops: every future offer or news email from that business. The unsubscribe covers the business, not just the one email you clicked in.
  • What keeps coming: everything that is part of the service — appointment confirmations and reminders, quotes, invoices, payment links and receipts, the “your photos are ready” email, and the request to rate a job. The page says so: Receipts, invoices and appointment reminders are not affected — those keep coming.
  • Texts are separate. Unsubscribing from email does nothing to texts. To stop those, reply STOP to any text — see Emails and texts you will receive.
  • Review emails are separate too. They have their own Opt out link — see Leave a review, or opt out of review requests.

Good to know

  • Unsubscribing is one-way. There is no link to subscribe again, and the business cannot switch offers back on for you.
  • It applies to one business. If you are a customer of two businesses that both use Wax Stak, each sends its own emails and each has its own link.
  • Not every business sends offers at all, so you may never see one of these emails.
  • The link is made for you. Forwarding the email forwards your link with it, and anyone who clicks it unsubscribes you.
  • Getting an offer from a business you have never dealt with? Do not click anything in it; write to support@waxstak.com with the subject line and the sender.
