Sign in with Google or Apple

By the end of this article you will sign in to the back office with one click on Google or Apple instead of typing a password.

How it works

A Google or Apple sign-in is a shortcut into the account your business already created for you. It never creates a new account: if nobody has invited your email, Google or Apple will sign you in with them but the back office will not know who you are. Ask the owner or a manager to invite you first.

The buttons appear under or continue with on the sign-in page only when your business has Google or Apple switched on. If you do not see them, the business is not using them — sign in with your password.

Connect your account once

The first time, connect the Google or Apple account to your back-office account from your profile. That way the back office knows the two are the same person.

  1. Sign in with your email and password.
  2. Click your avatar at the top right and choose Profile.
  3. In the Sign-in Methods card, click Connect next to Google or Apple.
  4. Google or Apple asks you to sign in and confirm. You come back to your profile with the card showing Connected.

The Google or Apple account must use the same email address as your back-office account. If you pick one with a different address, the profile shows a message explaining that, and nothing is connected. With Apple, choose Share My Email when asked — Hide My Email gives the back office a made-up address that will never match.

Sign in from then on

  1. Open your business’s address.
  2. Click Google or Apple under or continue with.
  3. Confirm with Google or Apple if it asks. You land on the Dashboard.

If your business requires two-factor authentication, you are asked for your Authentication code after Google or Apple, exactly as with a password — see Protect your account with two-factor authentication.

Disconnect

In the same Sign-in Methods card, click Disconnect. Your email, role and everything else stay as they were; you simply sign in with your password again.

Good to know

  • Connecting a provider does not change your permissions and does not replace your password. Both keep working.
  • If a Google or Apple sign-in fails on the sign-in page, a message under the buttons says so; try again, or use your email and password.
