The tabs: Work, Find, You, More
By the end of this article you know which tab to reach for, and where the screens that are not tabs are hiding.
The bar at the bottom has four tabs: Work, Find, You and More. Everything else in the app opens from one of them — and the last one is not a place at all, but the menu that follows you to every screen.
Work
Where your day is. It opens on today and shows the jobs for that date in the order you will drive them, with Today one tap away when you have wandered off to another day.
- The strip of days at the top jumps a day at a time; the arrows at its ends move a week, and Change date opens a calendar.
- The count at the top — so many of so many done — is your progress through the day.
- Route start sets where today’s driving begins: Home, Office or Current — where you are standing.
- Cards below the list flag what needs a hand: jobs that need a technician, unpaid or unanswered invoices, expenses, reviews awaiting a reply.
- The + button starts something on the spot: New job, New quote or New customer.
- The bell opens your notifications.
Tapping a job opens its details — the customer, the vehicle, the services, the photos and the payment — and that whole stack stays under Work.
Find
Every record your business holds, searchable from your pocket. Type a Name, plate, job or invoice and the results group into Customers, Vehicles, Jobs, Quotes, Invoices and Payments. Before you type, On your route today and Recent put the likely answers one tap away.
It searches what is already on the phone, so it works with no signal — and the answer is the same one the office would get.
You
Your own profile and the app’s housekeeping. From the top:
- Your name, your role and the business you are working for.
- Route start — your default for every day; the one-day override is on Work.
- Home Address — used when your route starts at home.
- Sync Now — when it last synced, and how many changes are still waiting to go.
- Needs review — appears only when something the office changed overrode a change of yours, or a payment you recorded was refused; nothing is ever swept under the rug.
- Company — which business this phone is working for; tap it to switch if you belong to more than one.
- Notifications, My Schedule, Your Devices and Sign Out.
More
The … at the end of the bar does not open a screen. It opens a short menu over whatever you are looking at, and the menu is about that screen:
- Help: … — one row per article written for the screen you are on, in your language. On a screen without an article of its own, the rows are the articles for its area — Work’s guides while you are inside a job, You’s while you are in Your Devices. Tapping one opens the article in your phone’s browser; the app stays exactly where it was.
- All help — every article about the app, when the ones offered are not the one you need.
- About — the app’s version, which support will ask you for.
Help needs a connection. Offline, a help row tells you so instead of opening a page that cannot load; the app itself keeps working.
The bar above the tabs
Every screen has the same thin bar across the top: Up to date, Syncing…, Offline or Sync error, and Company: with the business you are acting as. Offline is a state, not a problem — the bar says Changes will sync when you reconnect. and the app carries on.
Screens that are not tabs
- My Schedule — your weekly hours and time off, with a form to request more. Under You.
- Notifications — the bell on Work, or the row under You. See Notifications on your phone.
- Your Devices — under You. See Your devices, and signing out a lost phone.
- Needs review — under You, only when there is something to review.
- About — the app’s version, under More.
Good to know
- Tapping the tab you are already on takes you back to its first screen — handy when you are deep in a job.
- The lit tab stays lit while you are in one of its sub-screens, so you always know your way back.
- More never changes the lit tab — it is a menu, not a destination, so the tab you were on is still the one that is lit when you close it.
