Sign in with a passkey

By the end of this article you will have a passkey on your account and will sign in to the back office without typing a password.

What a passkey is

A passkey is a sign-in stored on your device or in your password manager and unlocked with your fingerprint, your face or your device PIN. There is nothing to remember and nothing to type. It only works where you created it — a passkey made on your work laptop does not sign you in from your phone, unless your password manager syncs it. You can add one per device.

Add a passkey

  1. Sign in with your email and password.
  2. Click your avatar at the top right and choose Profile.
  3. In the Passkeys card, click Add passkey.
  4. Under Name, type something you will recognise later — the placeholder suggests e.g. Work laptop — and click Continue.
  5. Your browser or password manager takes over: confirm with your fingerprint, face or PIN.

The passkey appears in the list with the date it was added. Add another from a second device the same way.

If the card says This browser cannot create passkeys. Try a current version of Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox., update the browser or use another one.

Sign in with it

  1. Open your business’s address. The Login page appears.
  2. Click Sign in with a passkey, under the Login button.
  3. Confirm with your fingerprint, face or PIN.

You land on the Dashboard. A passkey sign-in is not asked for a two-factor code — the device already proved it is you.

The button only shows in browsers that support passkeys. On a browser that does not, sign in with your password.

Rename or remove

In the Passkeys card, each passkey has a Rename button and a Remove button. Removing asks Remove this passkey? — after Remove, that device signs in with the password again. You can add a new passkey at any time.

Lost the device? Remove its passkey from another device or from a password sign-in, so nobody who finds it can use it.

Good to know

  • Your password keeps working alongside a passkey; the passkey is a faster way in, not a replacement you are locked into.
  • A passkey is tied to your sign-in, so it works for every business you belong to.
  • Passkeys are for the back office in a browser; the mobile app signs in with email and password.
