See another day on Work
By the end of this article you’ll know how to move Work to any day, read what it shows for a day that isn’t today, and get back.
Move a day or a week
- The strip under the header shows the week. Tap a day to open it. Today is colored; the day you’re on is outlined; a dot under a day means there’s work on it.
- The arrows at either end of the strip move a whole week — Previous week and Next week.
- To go further, tap the date in the header (Change date). A calendar opens on the month you’re looking at, with the number of jobs on each day. Shaded days are busy ones — the note at the bottom says Shaded days have 4 or more jobs. Page months with Previous month and Next month, tap a day to open it, or Close.
- Whenever you’re not on today, a Today button appears in the header. One tap brings you back.
The strip and the calendar count the same jobs the day itself lists, so a dot or a number never promises work the day then doesn’t show.
A day ahead
A future day shows its jobs in the same list as today — service, vehicle, customer, and booked 9:00 AM — so you can see what’s coming and open a job to check the address or the notes. What it doesn’t show is the live part of the screen: there’s no Next card, no Start my day, no Open full route and no Route setup, because those act on today’s route and only today’s.
A day you’ve worked
A past day is a receipt, not a plan. Above the list one line sums it up: Day closed · 5 of 5 done · 42 mi driven · $460.00 collected.
- The miles appear only if you recorded both odometer readings that day. No readings, no miles — the app never invents a number.
- If a refund went out that day the money splits into $500.00 collected · $40.00 refunded · $460.00 net.
- Completed stops collapse into one line with what they brought in; tap it to see the rows.
The rows still open, so you can go back to a job to take a payment, add a photo or look at its details.
How far the phone keeps
The phone holds your jobs from about 90 days back to 14 days ahead. Inside that window a day with no rows really is free and says No jobs scheduled for this day. Outside it, or before the phone has pulled it, the day says This day hasn’t loaded onto this phone. — and the calendar shows a dash instead of a count on those days, or says This month hasn’t loaded onto this phone.
If the phone has never synced at all, every day says Nothing has loaded yet. Connect to load your work. Find signal and pull the list down.
Good to know
- Moving between days doesn’t reload the screen and doesn’t stack up the back button — tapping back once leaves Work, not one day at a time.
- The day is part of the address, so a link the office sends you to a particular day opens straight on it.
- A day the office marked closed shows its date crossed out on the strip and a line saying The business is closed on this day. — it still opens, because an emergency job can sit on a holiday.
- A canceled job isn’t counted on any day, past or future.
