Photos and notes from your detailer
The record of a visit is more than a price: the technician can photograph the vehicle before and after the work, and a booking can carry notes about the visit. Both live on the booking’s own page. This article shows you where to find them, how to view the photos, and where else they turn up.
Find the photos
- Choose My Bookings at the top of the page, then open the booking under Past.
- On its page, look for Before Photos and After Photos. Each is a grid of thumbnails, in the order they were taken.
The sections only appear once the technician has uploaded photos, so a booking that has not been done yet has neither. A finished booking with no photos says so instead: No photos available for this service — not every business photographs every job, and some visits simply do not need it.
View a photo full size
Choose any thumbnail to open it full size. From there:
- Next and Previous step through the photos in that set, and the counter shows where you are.
- Close returns you to the booking.
A photo may carry a short caption the technician wrote; it shows under the picture.
The photo email
When the technician finishes a job they took photos on, you get an email with the before-and-after pictures and a link to the booking. Two things to know about it:
- The pictures inside the email work for about a week. After that, open the booking in the portal — the photos there never expire.
- The link asks you to sign in, because the photos are yours. The text message you may get at the same time uses a different kind of link that does not — see The link in your text or email.
If the technician took no photos, no photo email is sent; you still get the “your car is ready” text if the business sends those.
The same photos, by vehicle
Photos are attached to the vehicle they show, so you can also browse them car by car rather than booking by booking. Choose My Vehicles, then a vehicle, to see its photos grouped by visit — handy for comparing how it looked over a year of services. See Your vehicles and their photo history.
The Notes on a booking
Under the price and vehicle sections, a booking may show a Notes card. It holds one of two things:
- What you wrote when booking, under Notes (optional) — a gate code, where the keys are, a scratch you want looked at.
- What the business wrote for you about this visit — a remark on the work, or something to know for next time.
When the business added a translation, the notes read in the language you use the portal in. Notes cannot be edited from the portal; if something in them is wrong or you want to add to them, contact the business and they will update the booking.
A booking with nothing written has no Notes card at all.
Good to know
- Photos are only ever visible to you and the business — the portal shows you your own bookings and nothing else.
- Some businesses limit how many photos a job carries, so a long job may show a selection rather than every shot.
- A photo taken on a booking that was later canceled stays on that booking under Past.
