Compare technicians
By the end of this article you will be able to see at a glance which technicians are ahead of your company average and on what.
Reports › Operations › Technician Comparison is a Business feature. Pick a date range and a handful of technicians, and each metric shows the technician’s figure with its gap to the average of everyone who worked in that period.
Run a comparison
- Set From and To. The page opens on the current month.
- Under Technicians, click Add a technician and pick at least two. The table appears once two are selected and stops accepting names at six.
- The comparison reloads as you change the range or the selection. Remove a name from the picker to drop that column.
Read the table
- Side-by-side comparison has one row per Metric and one column per technician. The columns keep the order you picked them in.
- Completed Jobs — jobs the technician finished in the period. Active Days — days with at least one completed job. Jobs/Day — the first divided by the second.
- Job Value — the value of those completed jobs, and Avg Job Value per job. This is work done, not recognized revenue.
- Avg Rating — the average of the reviews received for jobs in the period, with the number of reviews. It counts every review, including ones you have hidden from public display.
- Under each figure, a signed number shows how far it sits from the Company average — above in green, below in red.
Good to know
- The average is everyone who worked, not everyone you picked. The caption says how many technicians were active in the period; the baseline is the roster-wide total divided by that count, so a comparison of two people is still measured against the whole team.
- No data is not zero. A technician who completed no jobs in the period shows No jobs in this period across the row instead of zeros; one who worked but was not reviewed shows a dash for the rating. When nobody was active, the average is left blank rather than shown as zero.
- Ratings follow the job’s date. A review counts in the period of the job it is about, not the day it was written — so the same technician can show a different average here and under the revenue report’s review analytics, which is dated by the review.
- A missing name. If a selected technician has since been removed from your team, the table says so rather than quietly comparing the rest.
- Business only. On Starter or Pro the page shows Unlock Business reporting with Upgrade to Business. Any role that can view reports can open it.
