When a visit couldn’t be completed
Sometimes a planned visit doesn’t happen: nobody was home, the vehicle wasn’t where it needed to be, the weather turned, or something came up on your detailer’s side. When that happens, the booking in your portal tells you so. This article explains what you’ll see and what it means.
What you’ll see
Open My Bookings and choose the booking. At the top of its details there is a note: We couldn’t complete your visit, with the day the visit was planned for.
Under it, your detailer may have chosen to show you the reason — Reason: followed by a short phrase such as Customer not present or Weather. Businesses decide which reasons their customers see, so some visits show a reason and some don’t. Either way, the note is the same: the visit on that day didn’t take place.
The same note appears if you open the booking from a text message link rather than by signing in.
Why the booking is still in your list
The booking itself hasn’t changed. Its status is still what it was — usually Confirmed — and it stays in My Bookings on the day it was planned for. That’s deliberate: your detailer decides what happens next, either by booking a new time with you or by canceling.
- If they reschedule, the booking moves to the new date and the note goes away once the new visit is done.
- If they cancel, the booking’s status changes to Canceled and, when they give one, a cancellation reason appears on its details.
Until one of those happens, the booking reads exactly as it did before, with the note on top.
What you don’t need to do
There is nothing to accept, confirm or answer on the booking. If you want to arrange another time yourself, contact your detailer the way you usually do — their details are on the portal’s home page — or make a new booking under Services.
You also won’t be asked to rate this visit. The portal only invites a review once a visit has actually been completed, so a booking with this note never shows the Leave a Review button. If your detailer completes the work on a later visit, you’ll be invited to rate that one as usual.
Good to know
- The date in the note is the day the visit was planned for, in your detailer’s local time — not the moment the note was recorded.
- If a booking was rescheduled after a missed visit and missed again, the note shows the most recent one.
- The reason, when shown, is the wording your detailer used at the time. If they later rename that reason in their settings, the booking keeps the original wording.
