Sign in with a code sent to your email
The portal has no passwords. You sign in with a six-digit code that is emailed to you each time, which takes about a minute and leaves you nothing to remember. By the end of this article you will have signed in and know what to do when a code does not arrive.
- Open your detailer’s portal and choose Login at the top right.
- Under Email, type the email address your detailer has on file for you, then choose Send code.
- The page says If an account exists for that email, a code is on its way. Open your inbox and look for an email with the subject Your {business} sign-in code, where {business} is your detailer’s name.
- Back in the portal, type the six digits under Verification code and choose Sign In.
You land on the portal’s home page, signed in. Your name appears at the top right, and My Bookings, My Vehicles and Your details are now yours to open.
Typed the wrong address? Choose Use a different email to go back to the first step.
When the code doesn’t arrive
The portal only sends a code to an email address your detailer has on file — and, on purpose, it tells you the same thing whether or not the address is on file. So a code that never arrives usually means one of these:
- The address isn’t the one on file. Try the address your detailer usually writes to, or the one their booking confirmations arrive at.
- It went to spam. Search your mailbox for sign-in code.
- Your detailer hasn’t added you yet. You cannot create an account yourself; see Why you can’t create an account yourself.
If none of those is it, contact the business and ask them to check the email they have for you. Once it matches, the code arrives.
When the code doesn’t work
A code is good for 10 minutes and for 5 wrong guesses. After either, the portal says That code isn’t valid or has expired. Request a new one. — choose Use a different email, enter the same address again and choose Send code for a fresh one. Each new code replaces the old one, so always use the most recent email.
Good to know
- A sign-in lasts 24 hours on that device. After that the portal asks for a new code; nothing else changes.
- If your detailer offers it, you can sign in with Google or Apple instead — as long as that account uses the same email. See Sign in with Google or Apple.
- Links your detailer sends you — a payment request, a quote to approve, a job update — open without signing in at all. You only need a code to browse your bookings, vehicles and details.
- Questions about a booking or an invoice go to the business; their phone and email are at the bottom of every page. If the portal itself is not working, write to support@waxstak.com.
