Sign in with Google or Apple
If you would rather not wait for an emailed code, you can sign in with the Google or Apple account you already use — as long as it carries the same email address your detailer has on file. By the end of this article you will know how the buttons work and why one of them might turn you away.
- Open your detailer’s portal and choose Login at the top right.
- Below the email form, under or continue with, choose Google or Apple.
- You are taken to Google or Apple to sign in the way you usually do — pick the account, confirm — and then brought straight back to the portal.
That is all. You land on the home page signed in, exactly as you would after a code.
The buttons appear only when the portal offers those sign-in options. If you do not see them, sign in with a code instead — see Sign in with a code sent to your email.
The one rule: the same email
The portal never creates an account from a Google or Apple sign-in. It looks for a customer whose email is exactly the address that account gives back, verified by Google or Apple. When it finds one, you are in; when it does not, the portal says:
That account isn’t on file with this business. Sign in with the email address they have for you, or use a sign-in code instead.
That message means the account you chose uses a different address from the one your detailer holds. Two common causes:
- You have more than one Google account. Choose the one your detailer writes to.
- You used Apple’s Hide My Email. That option hands the portal a private relay address instead of your real one, and the relay is not the address on file. Sign in with Apple again and choose Share My Email, or use a code.
If your detailer has an old or misspelled address for you, ask them to correct it — the portal cannot change it for you.
When the sign-in doesn’t finish
- That sign-in didn’t finish. Try again, or use a sign-in code instead. — the trip to Google or Apple was interrupted (a closed window, a timeout). Try once more.
- That sign-in option isn’t available right now. Use a sign-in code instead. — the option is temporarily off. A code always works.
Whatever happens, the email code is never more than a step away: it is the same page.
Good to know
- The Google and Apple buttons are shown while you are typing an email. Once you have asked for a code, the page hides them until you choose Use a different email — the two paths do not mix.
- Signing in with Google or Apple gives you the same session as a code does: 24 hours on that device.
- The portal never posts on your behalf or reads anything beyond the email address and its verification.
