A job is missing from my day
By the end of this article you’ll know the seven reasons a job isn’t on your Work tab, how to tell them apart in under a minute, and which ones the office has to fix.
Symptoms
- The office says you’re booked; Work shows No jobs scheduled for this day.
- A job that was on the list this morning is gone.
- The day reads This day hasn’t loaded onto this phone. or Not loaded on the month view.
- Nothing has loaded yet. Connect to load your work.
- A job is on the phone, but under Needs a technician rather than in your day.
Likely causes
- It hasn’t reached the phone yet. A job booked or assigned after your last sync arrives on the next one. The bar at the top shows Last synced ….
- It’s on another day. The office moved the appointment, or you’re looking at the wrong day. Work opens on today; the strip moves a day at a time and Today brings you back.
- It’s outside what the phone holds. The phone carries about three months back and two weeks ahead. A job further out than that says Not loaded until it comes within the window.
- It was canceled. A canceled job leaves the day’s list and count entirely.
- You were taken off it. When the office reassigns or deletes a job you were on, the next sync removes it from the phone quietly — there’s no notice unless you’d changed something on it, in which case Needs review says This job was reassigned, so your change wasn’t applied. or This job was removed on the server, so your change wasn’t applied.
- Nobody’s on it yet. A job with no technician isn’t anyone’s work. It sits under Needs a technician, where a technician who’s allowed to can tap Claim.
- You’re acting for another company. If your email works for more than one business, the bar says Company: which one is active.
What to do
- Pull down on Work to sync, or open You → Sync Now, and wait for Up to date. Look again.
- Tap Change date and look at the dots on the strip and the counts on the month — a moved job shows up on its new day.
- Search Find by the customer’s name, plate or the job number. A job that’s yours opens from there even when it’s canceled; a job that’s now a teammate’s is listed but doesn’t open — that’s your answer.
- Not loaded for a day this month? It’s outside the window. Nothing to do; it arrives on its own.
- Gone with nothing under Needs review? Ask the office whether it was canceled or given to someone else. The phone can’t show a job you’re not on.
- Under Needs a technician? Tap Claim if you’re taking it. A claim is refused if you’re already booked then or the office has rules against it; the phone says which.
- Wrong Company: on the bar? Switch under You → Company.
Good to know
- A job you’re a helper on is on your phone too, not only the lead’s.
- Completed jobs stay on the day, folded into a run when there are several in a row; canceled ones don’t.
- Today is the company’s today, not the phone’s — if you’re working far from the office’s time zone, a late-night job can sit on the day the office counts it in.
- The window is the office’s setting; the phone can’t ask for a day beyond it.
