See who still owes you
By the end of this article you’ll be able to check from the truck which invoices are still unpaid and which quotes are still waiting on an answer, and nudge either one along.
Open the list
On Work, above the day’s jobs, a row reads … unpaid or unanswered with the count in a badge. Tap it. The row only appears when there’s something to chase — nothing owed and every quote answered means no row.
The screen is titled Outstanding and has two sections, each with its own count: … unpaid invoices and … unanswered quotes. Both are oldest first, because the oldest is the one to chase.
Read an invoice row
- The invoice number and the customer’s name.
- Dated with the invoice date and how long ago that was.
- Due with the due date — or Overdue since in red once it’s passed.
- The balance still owed, on the right.
Tap the row to open the invoice on the job it came from — see The invoice for a job. An invoice the office raised without a job isn’t tappable; the office handles those.
Resend a pay link
Next to the balance, Resend pay link emails the customer a fresh payment link for what’s still owed — the same link described in No signal? Send a payment link instead. Use it when the customer says they never got the first one, or the earlier link has run out. The app confirms Payment link emailed to followed by their address.
Read a quote row
- The quote number and the customer’s name.
- Sent with the date and how long ago.
- Expired in red if its expiry date has passed.
- The quoted total.
Resend quote emails the customer the quote again with its approval link, and the app confirms Quote emailed to the customer again. An expired quote can’t be resent from here — it needs a new expiry, which is the office’s call.
Working without signal
The list itself needs no connection — it’s built from what’s on your phone, and an unpaid invoice or an unanswered quote never ages off the device. Sending does: with no signal both buttons are replaced by Reconnect to resend. Nothing is queued; come back to it when you have a connection.
Good to know
- What counts as unpaid is an invoice the office has sent that still has a balance. A draft — one you created on the phone that the office hasn’t sent yet — isn’t here, and neither is a paid one.
- Whose. The list is your business’s, not just your own jobs, as long as your role can see invoices and quotes. A role that can see neither gets Your role can’t see invoices or quotes. instead; a role that can see one gets that section only. Resending needs the permission to collect payments or to work on quotes, respectively.
- The count on Work is the same two sections added together.
- The empty state reads Nothing is owed and every quote has an answer.
