What can we help you with?
Sign in with email and password
By the end of this article you will be signed in to the back office with the email address your business invited you with and your password.
Before you start
- Your business has its own address,
your-business.office.waxstak.com. It is in the invitation email you received; the owner of the business finds it in the welcome email. If you openoffice.waxstak.cominstead, you are taken to your business after signing in, or asked to choose if you belong to more than one — see Switch between businesses. - The first time you sign in you need a password. An invitation comes with a link to set one; if you never did, use Reset your password — it is the same page.
- Open your business’s address in the browser. The Login page appears.
- Under Email Address, type the email your business invited you with.
- Under Password, type your password. The eye button at the end of the field shows what you typed.
- Click Login.
The Dashboard opens. If your business requires two-factor authentication, one more step comes first:
- The page asks for the Authentication code — the six-digit code from your authenticator app. Type it and click Verify. Lost your phone? Click Use a backup code instead and enter one of the codes you saved when you set it up; each works once. Protect your account with two-factor authentication explains both.
Other ways in
The sign-in page also offers, below the Login button:
- Sign in with a passkey — your fingerprint, face or device PIN instead of a password, once you have added one from your profile. See Sign in with a passkey.
- or continue with Google or Apple — when your business has them switched on, and only for an account that already exists with that same email. See Sign in with Google or Apple.
Good to know
- You stay signed in while you keep using the back office. After about half an hour without activity you are asked to sign in again; nothing you saved is lost.
- A wrong email or password shows one message under the form rather than telling you which of the two was wrong.
- The mobile app uses the same email and password. Technicians sign in there; the back office is for the office.
- Sent back to the sign-in page unexpectedly? A note at the top of it may explain why the session ended — for example the business was paused, or your access was removed.
- Forgotten your password? Click Forgot Password? under the form — Reset your password.
