Reset your password

By the end of this article you will have a new password — whether you forgot the old one or simply want to change it.

Forgot your password

  1. Open your business’s address. On the Login page, click Forgot Password? under the form.
  2. On the Forgot Password page, type your Email Address — the one your business invited you with — and click Send Password Reset Email.
  3. The page confirms: Check your email for password reset instructions. The email arrives within a minute or two; look in the spam folder if it does not.
  4. Open the link in the email. The Set Your Password page opens.
  5. Type your New Password — at least 8 characters — and the same again under Confirm Password, then click Set Password.
  6. You are back on the Login page with Password set successfully! You can now log in. Sign in with the new password.

If the page says Invalid or missing reset token. Please request a new password reset link., the link has expired or was already used. Start again from step 1 — each link works once and for one hour.

This is the same page you used to set your first password when you were invited; the welcome email’s link leads here too.

Change your password while signed in

  1. Click your avatar at the top right and choose Profile.
  2. Click Change Password, under your avatar.
  3. Type your Current Password, then the New Password and the same again under Confirm Password.
  4. Click Change Password.

The new password needs at least 8 characters with at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one number and one special character — the dialog lists them under New Password must contain:.

Good to know

  • The reset email always goes to the address on your account. If you no longer have access to that mailbox, ask the owner or a manager of your business to update it, or write to support@waxstak.com.
  • Requesting a reset does not sign you out anywhere, and your passkeys and Google or Apple connections keep working.
  • The same password signs you in to the mobile app.
  • Resetting your password does not turn off two-factor authentication. You will still need your authenticator app or a backup code afterwards.
