Who Mobile Tech RX is good for

Mobile Tech RX serves the broader auto-reconditioning trade: paintless dent repair, tint and wheel repair alongside detailing, with tools like Price-A-Dent and a deep library of tutorials. If your business mixes those trades, that breadth is the reason to pick it. Pricing is per admin plus per additional user, starting at $39/month, with a 5-day trial rather than a free plan. Payment processing rates, route optimization, offline mode, review requests and Spanish support are not listed on its plans page.

What to check before you switch

  • Export your history first. Ask Mobile Tech RX for a CSV of customers, vehicles and jobs and check what it includes (notes, photos, pricing) before you cancel anything.
  • Saved cards don’t transfer. Cards on file belong to the old payment processor; customers re-enter them once, on their first Wax Stak invoice or through their portal.
  • Your review link and booking URL change. Update your Google Business Profile, website and social bios the day you switch.
  • Run both for two weeks. Finish open jobs where they started; book new ones in Wax Stak.
  • Reminders come from a new number. Tell regulars to expect texts from Wax Stak so nothing lands in spam.

Frequently asked questions

Is Wax Stak cheaper than Mobile Tech RX?

Wax Stak Starter is free, Pro is $24/month with three users included and Business is $39/month with ten. Mobile Tech RX starts at $39/month for one admin plus $15–$29 per additional user, so a three-person crew is $69/month or more on its entry plan.

Which one is built for detailing?

Wax Stak is built only for detailers — mobile and shop — so the schedule, vehicle records, service packages, customer maintenance plans, booking page and field app are detailing workflows out of the box. Mobile Tech RX covers detailing as one of several reconditioning trades.

Does Mobile Tech RX work in Spanish?

Its plans page does not list a Spanish interface (as of September 2026). Wax Stak is fully bilingual for your team and your customers.

Is there a free plan?

Wax Stak Starter is free forever, up to 15 active customers. Mobile Tech RX offers a 5-day trial.
